Three days ago we made the trip from Saigon, Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) to Bangkok, Thailand. We had a pre-planned bus trip around the attractions in Bangkok and managed to cram a lot into 48 hours. We went to the Royal Palace, which was one of the most extravagant religious centers I have ever seen. The best way to describe it is the Vatican City for Buddhism. After that we saw a show in Bangkok called Siam Niramat which was basically a broad way show about the development of the Thai culture. It was not the best performance but the stage craft was absolutely amazing. We threw in a number of other tourist stops along our whirl wind tour of Bangkok. I honestly didn’t get much out of Bangkok because we spent the majority of it in a tour bus and at over priced and uncultured tourist stops. Yesterday we traveled to Bangsaen, Thailand, where the Burapha International College is located. We are enrolled in classes that will immerse us with Thai students from all over the country studying international business. I still have a couple more stories to tell via photos about Vietnam so stay on the lookout for those.
A highlight of our stay in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).
